The Second XV v Ollerton Hoods

Gainsborough Seconds narrowly beaten by Ollerton Hoods in testing weather

Gainsborough's 2nd XV were unfortunate to finish on the losing side after a strong performance against Ollerton Hoods, going down 12–15 at home on Saturday, 24 October.

Terrible weather made conditions difficult for both teams, but Gainsborough played well despite the storm. With just three points separating the sides at the finish, it was a frustrating result for the home team.

James Cooke was among Gainsborough's try scorers, with Ben Bethell adding the conversion. Cam O'Brien was named Man of the Match.

Although the result went Ollerton's way, Gainsborough can take encouragement from their performance in such testing conditions.
